A view of the world through bloodshot eyes!
Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. ~ George Washington -
"A society of sheep must in time beget a government of wolves." --French philosopher Bertrand de Jouvenel--
"Or in our case hyenas." --Warren / Longrange1--
NancZ, how's that?I'm partial to Nathan, Jonathan, Benjamin, Joshua,Caleb, all good G*Dly men! Not namby-pamby names either. Good, solid masculine names. Michael is good too!tmw
of course you know, our son is named after the father of king david. my two grandsons are josiah and jeremiah - there is no good time to name your kid terrell!
Ugh, who would name a child Terrell? No, never mind, I'd probably be arrested by the pc police! My Dad told me a story from a good friend who was an AF doctor(they met up in Greenland) mid-50's. Anyway this doctor told my Dad about a program his med school had, sending interns out to sharecroppers in the South. Well, these interns ended up delivering a lot of babies and the families would ask for different names for the babies...well, turns out these were a bunch of smartalecks! They came up with names like Urinia, etc. etc. and these poor children ended up with the most preposterous names you could imagine, or not, it was awful! There was an awful lot of Latin learned by poor sharecroppers that year!tmw
David. It's my hubby's name, so I'm partial, and it's Old Testament, as well.
We're not telling! I'll let you know after the bris! Hint: It's not Terrell. Not mohammed, either.
I was also going to say David and also Joshua but TMW beat me to it.
i'll bet AGAINST nebuchadnezzar! what would you call him? nebbie? buch?
i was just notified that "EHUD" is also out! no, non, nyet on "EHUD"!
that narrows it down to 27,367,900,000 names - come on - somebody can surely guess!
I doubt it will be MZ Jr...most Ashkenazi Jewish people (at least I think MZ is Ashkenazi) don't name kids after living relatives.
Oh, and for those who may be unfamiliar with the term Ashkenazi - it means Jews whose families come from Europe. This is in contrast to Sephardic Jews, whose families come from Spain, the Middle East, and North Africa. (Both groups are related, though, if you go far back enough, as both are descended from the same group of Biblical-era Jews.)
thanks surfer - i didn't know that aspect of naming the baby.
David, a man after God's own heart.
Joshua - God is my salvationgirl - amber michelle - a jewel who is like the Lord
just remember...no, never forget - your children will either love or hold their names against you - do not name your son "harry peter bush" and yes, i've met someone with this name. for instance, a madzionist would not want to name his son "hans christian zionist" - no, no, no.
