I'm in Texas and I know I can carry, but I wasn't sure about Arizona. As I drove to Phoenix to enroll my daughter, and we were alone, I carried, but was a little uncertain about the legality of it. Still, I refuse to drive across country unprotected. I'll have to go back to AZ in order to get her in February, so this has been valuable info. I won't feel so uncomfortable now. Thanks, Nanc!

I believe that I linked to it a while back in the comments section.

You have to be careful because the laws vary from state to state and sometimes from city to city inside of a state. For instance, New York City, doesn't recognize ccw permits issued by New York State and as far as I know, doesn't recognize any permits other than its own.

Arizona and Kentucky, until relatively recently, didn't allow concealed carry but open carry was legal and there was a provision that allowed people to carry a gun in the glove box of a car.

Federal law states that it is legal to transport a personal firearm by automobile if its legal legal at your departure point and your destination as long as it isn't readily accessible to the passengers and unloaded. But people have had their firearms confiscated and never returned by... ummm...errr.. "overzealous" local and State police.

Some states recognize every states CCW and others recognize only their own or have no provision at all for CCW.

Indiana, my state, recognizes all valid State issued permits but Indiana permits are only recognized by around 21 States, (possibly more, the laws change constantly)

Its better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

Speaking of the Second Amendment rights....

Just a little while ago, I was posting an announcement for my radio show on Friday. I see that WC has lined up Vito Vaccaro, candidate for the Loyalist Party for the NY Assembly. I checked the party's platform and saw the it appears strong on Second Amendments rights and strong against Islam.

More info about this Friday's show.
