Why We Ain't Buyin'

What in the hell is wrong with you people in Washington?

Its as plain as the veined tomato on Teddy Kennedy's face. The American people don't want your stinking amnesty bill!

You have no intention of enforcing any of its security provisions, strengthening the border, or fining a single illegal emigrant for breaking the law!

We know what you will do, the day after that bill is signed into law, you will start whittling away at the enforcement provisions, refuse to fund provisions for border security and 12 to 20 illegal aliens will become legal overnight!

You say that something must be done now, that the country cannot tolerate 12 million illegals in this country breaking the law, I agree. But the solution isn't to wave your magic wand and make them legal!

That's like saying that we cannot tolerate 12 million murders and pass a law to give amnesty to all of the murderers in the country.

Drop this POS Bill or pay the consequences. You serve at our pleasure and you'd best remember it!

if they pass this law - i want EVERY legal action taken against ANY american stricken from the books - from infractions to felonies~! that includes ANY AMERICAN in custody today.

i'm not talkin' some - i'm talking ALL - from petty theft to murder. let them all go free - CLEAN THE SLATE - START OVER!

in my tiniest letters - we all need a second chance to make a good first impression...*:] evilnanc trying to be good.

Damned politicians! With very few exceptions, I'm fed up with the lot of them.

WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOU?!?

I ain't buying it. One Bush bikes away from this immigration bill like Harriet Myers with a bag of pretzels, and John McCain gaffes his way into revealing the only thing he knows about the bill is that Ted Kennedy told him to like it, Ducky will be back here, demanding we support it.

It's getting rather tedious to remind you people that Ducky wants to be known as a leftist, and attributing thought to him really pisses him off.

This bill can't die fast enough for me.

I don't think it's fair to say that Ducky is messing with anyone.

If you dredge out my initial reaction to this bill I believe you will see that I was very sceptical about any firm commitment to enforcement.

I thought the bill had some strengths but without enforcement it was useless.

I admit to having a twinge of anarchy in my heart at times. Never mind the bollocks.

You'll have to believe Ducky, he isn't trying to fool anyone.

He knows that the enforcement provisions are a farce!

The bill just died in the Senate.

The two Democrats that introduced this bill, Ted Kennedy (D - Wet Bar) and John McCain (D - Aisle Crossing) can't make their immigration bill get anywhere. And the well of President Bush's support has been poisoned so much that all Bush has to do is say he likes the bill in order for it to be killed.

I'll keep my contempt short since I'm obviously mixed in with some company that thinks leftists like Ducky are actually capable of rational thought (which to me is more ridiculous than thinking bicycles lay eggs) but I'll simplify the math for you.

Democrats introduced this bill.

Republicans killed it.
