Participate in BIG (Buy Israeli Goods) Day
March 30, 2011
To counter a global BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) day of action against Israeli products and companies on March 30, the CRC of MetroWest is joining with StandWithUs and the America-Israel Chambers of Commerce to designate Wednesday, March 30 as the day to actively Buy Israeli Goods.
ACTION NEEDED
We urge all community members to go to your local stores and request Israeli products. Whenever a boycott is called, we urge you to respond by purchasing the very Israeli goods that are being targeted and let store managers know they should keep them well-stocked on the shelves. Let us show that any calls for boycotts of even one or two stores will always be met with a much larger counter-movement to buy Israeli goods. To locate stores in your area that carry Israeli products, visit www.BuyIsraelGoods.org.
To help us measure the success of BIG, we suggest the following:
- Shop with friends, take pictures and videos of yourself purchasing Israeli products.
- Make entries for YouTube. Make them positive, fun and/or funny.
Email your photos or links to your videos and pictures to big@standwithus.com.
- Contact the CRC and let us know if you participated and what responses you received by store owners at crc@ujcnj.org.http://www.buyisraelgoods.org/

Kawanio che keekeru!
"Song for St. Tamminy s Day." - The Old Song.
Of Andrew, of Patrick, of David, & George,
What mighty achievements we hear!
While no one relates great Tammany's feats,
Although more heroic by far, my brave boys,
Although more heroic by far.
These heroes fought only as fancy inspired,
As by their own stories we find;
Whilst Tammany, he fought only to free,
From cruel oppression mankind, my brave boys,
From cruel oppression mankind.
"When our country was young and our numbers were few
To our fathers his friendship was shown,
(For he e'er would oppose whom he took for his foes),
And made our misfortunes his own, my brave boys,
And he made our misfortunes his own.
"At length growing old and quite worn out with years,
As history doth truly proclaim,
His wigwam was fired, he nobly expired,
And flew to the skies in a flame, my brave boys,
And flew to the skies in a flame.
I knew that FJ would stop by here today. LOL.
