We (the government) should own the refineries. Then we can control how much gets out into the market.
Move along, nothing to look at here.

A view of the world through bloodshot eyes! My posts tend to run long. Nanc's are short, but sweet. The Merry Widow's posts are thoughtful and spiritual...
Complicated things require more explanation than a paragraph.
Government is not reason; it is not eloquence; it is force! Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

I think you meant sciolist, not siocialist.
Just where the 'h is phelonius with the salmagundi when you need him? ;-)
What stuns me the past few weeks is how many of my more-or-less conservative friends favor nationalizing our oil industry. I guess that the prices at the pump and the corresponding hike in food prices have my friends flummoxed.
Maxine Waters the prophet. Who knew?
We should be there at Capitol Hill with torches and pitchforks!
The constant voting against energy proposals and then comments like this... They're going to cause the climate to nationalize.
Yeah, he went a little overboard. Actually what we should do is have a unified additive standard so that the refineries can operate more efficiently and not be forced to deal with several supply chains.
Meanwhile all you suckers keep paying. The commodity market is doing real good by you.

But Ducky,
We had a unified additive standard BEFORE you leftist twits decided we needed a different additive standard for every city in America.
You know, if leftists would just stick to admiring turd artwork and leave running the country to non-idiots, we might not even need a solution to the problems leftists create.
In socialist Germany they pay about $10 per gallon, same with socialist France and socialist Spain. I'm quite certain a socialist America would do just as well.
