The Jewish Conspiracy to Call Carter Anti-Semitic

Jimmy Carter, has a book out with the inflammatory title "Palestine: Peace Not Apartheid," and a self-pitying op-ed in the Los Angeles Times:

Book reviews in the mainstream media have been written mostly by representatives of Jewish organizations who would be unlikely to visit the occupied territories, and their primary criticism is that the book is anti-Israel. Two members of Congress have been publicly critical. Incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for instance, issued a statement (before the book was published) saying that "he does not speak for the Democratic Party on Israel." Some reviews posted on Amazon.com call me "anti-Semitic," and others accuse the book of "lies" and "distortions." A former Carter Center fellow has taken issue with it, and Alan Dershowitz called the book's title "indecent."

Out in the real world, however, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. I've signed books in five stores, with more than 1,000 buyers at each site. I've had one negative remark--that I should be tried for treason--and one caller on C-SPAN said that I was an anti-Semite. My most troubling experience has been the rejection of my offers to speak, for free, about the book on university campuses with high Jewish enrollment and to answer questions from students and professors. : LA Times

So you see, Carter isn't anti-Semitic, regardless of what the Jews who control the media and the universities want you to believe. Meanwhile, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran's president, held a Holocaust-denial conference in Tehran, which drew at least one American, Reuters reports:

As the Instapundit would say (OUCH!)

"Don't get upset, I'm just helpin' you guys out by making this minor correction," I said as I moved all of Carter's books to the fiction section.

Needless to say, the lesbian bookstore employee looked a bit frazzled and asked me to leave before she called mall security.

This happened this Sunday in of all places, Charlottesville Virginia.

From Jimmy Peanut's words in the LA Times:

Out in the real world, however, the response has been overwhelmingly positive.

The real world? So those of us who call his hand are not in the real world?

[DOINK! DOINK! Bangs head on keyboard]

Steve: HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!

Next time you're there, move all the Korans to the bottom shelf, too. >:D

American Crusader said...

Dammit Steve...I had the exact same thought.
Just put this book in the fiction category.
I wasn't old enough to vote in 76...still two years away.
But I can proudly say that my very first vote was for Ronald Reagan.

Nanc,

We Gen-Xer's are subtle :P

Always On Watch said...

The joy of Mr. Beamish is that he's NOT subtle!

nanc said...

i wonder why not everybody understands him...::head scratching::

The Merry Widow said...

Probably because he is staight forward and means what he says? They are trying to figure out what he really means, they just don't get straight talk!
I have no problems!

i used to be skeert that he made so much sense to me, now i just go with it!

wow. I was kinda hoping I had started up a shitstorm, but realized that I need to do that over on a libtard's blog to make it more effective.

AOW - you're right. We should launch a "move the books" movement!

As far as korans being moved, I don't do that. I just bring in a bottle of superglue. I found that most effective on Wal-Mart's stash of Dixie Chicks CD's.

Warren said...

Now why didn't "I" think of superglue!

LOL

beakerkin said...

Warren you have got to see John Brown freaking out over the Superfly cracks. He seems to find my Joke about him being Superfly the Progressive Drug Pusher annoying

Warren said...

Yea, I read it after you alerted me.

Self important buffoons get quite angry when you point out the obvious.

Regarding Carter, where's that Kennedy curse when we all need it the most? A pre-Christmas stroke, perhaps?

nanc said...

warren? fern got haloscan working at the other site! lost everyone's comments, but hey, it's a small price to pay - now, we need it here.

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Well, I try to be at least as subtle as a sledgehammer.

Maybe it's an 40 and under thing. We were promised flying cars as children, you know.

nanc said...

'scuse me but i saw "chitty-chitty bang-bang" also. please stop the whining.

nanc said...

now we don't have haloscan! i'll be back for a blow-by-blow account.

nanc said...

hey - i didn't see eyes up there^^ - merry christmas to you too!

anonymous comments don't show up in my e-mail to post, so warren or tmw will see them before i do. sorry.

Jimmy Carter is not in the same category as David Duke but they both have similar outlooks on Israel and on Jews.
Apartheid is not what is happening in Israel. In South Africa, the white population, stole much of the native populations lands and segregated the country on racial lines.
This clearly is not the same case as in Israel.
First, the land belongs to the Jews. Judea existed almost 2000 years before Mohammed first sucked from his mother's tit.
Palestinians are a made-up people. Even their most famous leader Arafat was born an Egyptian.
These Arab "Pseudostinians" are so brainwashed that they don't even know their own history.
In Israel, Arabs are afforded the same rights as the Jewish population. For most Arabs, those that are citizens of Israel have more rights than Arabs living in Arab countries.
Just using the word "apartheid" shows how far off Jimmy Carter is.

nanc said...

what the hell, warren - i was ^^^ feeling charitable!

The Merry Widow said...

Is the "red heifer" crowd any relation to the "great float-up" crowd? Or is this a case of >^.^<
meow?

nanc said...

i'm glad to see kuhnkat being charitable to plucky also...

Warren said...

You misunderstand Ducky!

Being one of the braying jackass crowd; his opinions conform to ideology and not reality. Unable to form a viable idea he must resort to gratuitous insults which are childish at best.

In Jimmah he sees a archetypical leftist father figure, (unaccountable, inaccurate, a person that uses his undeserved position of power to bully and enhance his prestige), In other words a coward afraid to debate someone with a superior knowledge of the situation.

So he has Saint Karl of Marx and Saint Jimmah of Peanuts which he venerates with much genuflecting and figurative ass-kissing.

Shame on you KK, you have insulted Islam.... uh Jimmah.

Warren said...

"Why all the brown noses if it is FIGURATIVE??"

Its psycho-somatic!

Always On Watch said...

I see that it's swat-the-Duck time. Hehehe.

He must be a masochist to come here for such abuse. ;)

(((Thought Criminal))) said...

Ducky,

We realize that you always say extremely stupid things in order to make sure everyone knows you're a leftist, but surely you have to know that Dershowitz would eat Chomsky for lunch in a debate on Israel. Then again, maybe you don't. Leftists don't place a priority upon demonstating the ability to think.

Fuck, *I* could eat Chomsky for lunch in a debate on Israel.

If you were to remove all of the sophistry from all of Chomsky's works, you'd be left with a collection of punctuation marks.

I'm not kidding.

Warren, Hello!

I am certainly not a fan of President Carter, and frankly I question his ability to reason. Therefore, I will not waste any of my families money on a book he has authored until it is dirt cheap, or available at the public library.

Do you know what the specifics are with regards to what he claims are the answers to the problems facing the powder-keg that is the ME.

I am curious to know what he has to say, since the only thing I know for sure about the area is that, the Jews are not leaving any time soon, and neither are the Islamists.

Warren said...

Hello GMS,
Thanks for stopping by.

I haven't read the book but from every account I've read its more of the same far left drivel we have been hearing for quite a while.

Apartheid Israel, tear down the fence, its Israel's fault that the Camp David accords failed.

While listing multitudes of "crimes" perpetrated by the Israelis he manages to down play the daily terrorism that Israelis face, he characterizes one series of attacks as unfortunate.

His solution; Israel tear down the fence, negotiate directly with the terrorist organizations and cede more land.

Of course, he hasen't any new ideas, or judging from his words, any idea what's going on around him.
